I Made $1.2M Selling Simple eBooks (Step by Step)

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed choosing an online business, Brian Moran’s story is a breath of fresh air. He made $1.2 million selling simple ebooks - and the process he used is something anyone can follow, even if you’ve failed before. His point is clear: digital products, especially ebooks, are the easiest online business to start because they’re cheap, fast, and don’t require any special skills.
What most people get wrong is thinking they need to be experts in writing, design, or tech. Brian explains that none of that matters anymore because AI can handle almost everything - the research, the writing, the layout, and even the website. Your job is just to understand what problem your ebook solves and who it’s for. That’s it. And nearly everyone overcomplicates this part.
The core of his system is the Rule of One: one problem, one person, one page, one traffic source. Beginners fail because they try to solve too many problems, target too many people, or post content everywhere. Brian shows how his first ebook failed for this exact reason - it was too broad. When he narrowed the focus, everything changed.
Once your ebook is written, you only need a simple sales page with clear copy that sells one promise. Brian demonstrates how AI can write the entire page for you in minutes. No copywriting skills. No design headaches. No expensive freelancers.
Finally, Brian explains the part most people ignore: traffic. You don’t need to be everywhere. You just master one channel and send everyone to your one sales page. With even 100 visitors a day, a modest $27 ebook can turn into thousands per month. Simple, focused, and perfect for beginners.
TODAY’S Q&A

Most people overthink this. A “how-to” ebook doesn’t need to be long at all - it just needs to solve a specific problem clearly. I’ve seen 20–30 page ebooks outsell 200-page ones because buyers want speed, not fluff. They want the answer, not a novel.
What matters is whether your ebook helps someone do something they already want to do. If the promise is strong and the solution is simple, it will sell. Focus on clarity, screenshots, checklists, and straight-to-the-point guidance. If someone can read it in one sitting and get a result, that’s what drives sales.
Aim for 3-5 short chapters, maybe 2,000-5,000 words. Enough to get them from confused to confident. That’s it.
